Hi! I'm new to making alphas, but I have made a ton of normal patterns before. I'm currently trying to make pattern #18300. My background knots look fine, but the knots that resemble the turtle are slanted and look funny. I'm using Masha Knots' flat alpha technique. Is there a way to make them look straight?

I’m not sure, but it’s possible that you’re tying your knots too tight. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful

sometimes the side effect of the flat alpha technique, particularly when switching colors, is that it emphasizes the slant a little bit. i think it’s worth it but b it depends on preference!
