How long to leave for ties?

I normally start my bracelets with a loop but some of my patterns do not work with loops. How long would you say to leave the thread before starting the pattern for the ties at the end? I have tried to look for an answer but everyone suggests starting with loops 🙈! Thanks

I leave five inches, never more, so that i dont waste too much, but its not too uncomfortable, for me anyways

i usually just eyeball it but it’s anywhere from 5-6.5 inches normally! hope this helps! 😊
