I typically do 15-20 inches. 5 inches per end for ties and then 6ish for the bracelet in general. If you’re doing a loop then you can make them shorter.

They should be as long as the bracelet itself will be, plus the combined length of the ties.

If your doing twisted ties I recommend 20in but your doing a loop and button I recommend and inch or two longer then your hand

Wait I have a question about alphas. So for Masha Knot’s tutorial on how to make a keychain, she had a front and a back, but for a pattern that doesn’t have a front and a back, would you just repeat the pattern on both sides?

Normally, an alpha pattern has only one side but I’m pretty sure you can do the pattern twice and glue or sew them together.

I hope that answers your question

i make mine from my left thumb to my left elbow. you only make knots ONTO them rather than making knots WITH them so they don’t need to be that long. i also usually add like 3-5 inches at the start and end depending on what ending i’m doing.

hey! I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I've been seeing thant when I make alphas, the pattern ends up stretched and longer than it shows on the pictures or original pattern. I wondered if anyone could help me with this?🙂

@Evely I think it just has to do with how tight you do your knots. Maybe just try tying them tighter. Hope this helps 🙂
