Holes in alpha patterns

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can answer this problem I’m having. When I do alphas, they have holes in the patterns when the colors don’t intersect. I’m wondering how to fix this. Thanks!

Tying your knots tighter should help. Keep in mind that the first half of the knot positions it, and the second half secures it. So no matter how tight you tie the second half, it won’t push the knot up and close the gap

Definitely try and pull the first half of your knots tighter and closer together. This should hopefully prevent gaps. Hope this helps!!

When you switch to a new leading string try to do it in a way that it kind of loops around the old leading string. I don't really know how to explain it any better.

Try making the first half of your knot tighter, and try not to skip any base strings. I hope this helps!

Use the flat alpha technique!!! Masha knots has a tutorial on this and it's very helpful so give it a try

I don't think it's about the tightness of the knots if I understand it right. It's patterns like this #10706 where you have stripes next to each other and there's a gap between those stripes, right?

There is a video on Masha Knot’s YouTube channel called “Flat alpha Bracelets” and another video called “5 Alpha Bracelet Life Hacks.” The flat alpha technique eliminates holes in alphas and makes your bracelets flat at the same time.
