so i’m doing pattern #20218 without any fancy starts (like loops and triangle starts) but i’m using craft cord and i though that i would only need a few rows, but the rows are actually quite thin so how many rows in total do you recommend i start using before i start the pattern?

At 6:15 in this video MashaKnots explains how to do it https://youtu.be/12pByQvfzeY

But basically what you need to do is:
- Calculate the amount of rows you need for a full length bracelet (you can do that based on the rows you already did)
- Then calculate how many rows you need before and after the pattern starts

So I am new to alphas I guess I actually practiced with the basic skill doing at least 15 vertical wave bracelets and then getting into alphas I can’t seem to keep it the same size it starts out thick at the tops and starts getting skinnier and skinner as the bracelet goes on how can I fix this mistake or keep it from happening in the future

@youlikejaz This is probably because your knots are inconsistent. Your knots are probably sometimes looser and sometimes tighter. Practicing your knots will definitely hell

@youlikejaz

I can imagine two reasons (maybe a combination of both)

When you start your bracelet your basestrings might be taped or clipped too far apart

Maybe you pull the loose strings behind the bracelet too tight. Make sure they're relatively loose.
