i saw people use crochet thread instead of floss on alphas. they said use it as a alternative on your base strings? do your base strings show on your alpha or you don’t see them at all? also does anyone know where i could get crochet thread for cheap? thank you |

Hi!I use crochet string as my base strings as it's cheaper and easy to find in big balls. Depending on where you live, you can find some easily in craft shop (Aunt Lydia size 10 brand in the US for example) As you don't see them, it doesn't really matter if they are a different size from the strings you use to knot the pattern itself. Base strings aren’t shown on the alpha itself except the ties. Also go to your local dollar store for crochet thread! My local dollar store has a whole wall of crochet thread for 0.50 cents each for a huge amount of crochet thread (it depends what country you live in) I recommend if you couldn’t find it crochet thread go on amazon and buy it (with your parents permission first) hoped this help!

I recommend crochet thread on amazon by mira handcrafts! Base strings are not seen except when you make the ties, but generally, they arent seen. |
