Have a look at the tutorial in the tutorial section that tells you how to design normal patterns. This shows you how you can draw them first. However the only good patterns that I’ve spent time making have actually turned out to be existing patterns already 🤦🏼♀️. I’m not sure how to prevent this but maybe you should have a look for the pattern you are thinking of designing. Another tip is to look at other patterns for inspiration as a few tweaks to a pattern can make a whole new bracelet. 🙂

I would recommend sketching your pattern on graph paper too. Before you write your pattern into the pattern generator you should have a clear imagination what you want your pattern to look like. After a while of designing patters you'll have a better feeling for how they work and it becomes easier.

Make sure you have a clear idea of what you want it to look like maybe draw it out or just imagine it and always keep track of where the string is
