Okay, so I think I'm ready to do an alpha bracelet, but I have a question. If I want to make a two colored alpha pattern and the amount of strings says something like 16, do I use 16 letter strings and one background? Or do I use 15 back strings and one background? The reason I am confused is because I have heard different things from people. Any help is appreciated, and thank you. 🙂

Count the squares for the pattern. When I made my first alpha I had 17 strings, but 16 squares. So I had 16 letter/pattern strings and one main background string.
