I’m a beginner. I’ve done a few candy stripe and chevron patterns using embroidery floss. The knots looks like an oblong or oval shape like 0. Not circles like o. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Try making sure the first knot is tight, then doing the second knot tight, but just enough.The second knot is just securing the first knot. Also, keep practicing and you will get it. I hope this made sense. 😂 |

Be mindful about your first vs second half of each knot. Tying the first half tighter reduces gaps between the knots, and tying the second half tighter will make the knots less oblong
