black in pattern

I want to submit my first pattern, but it is telling me I can't include the color black into my design? I'm not too sure as to why I can't, but it belongs in it so I don't know what to do.Any help is appreciated! |

I always use a grey instead of black. You can’t tell when looking at it

The darkest gray we accept in patterns is 333333, which is still pretty dark. You can use this color and it won't be declined for being too dark. 🙂

They don’t allow dark black because it’s hard to distinguish from black borders of strings in the picture/pattern, so just use a very dark grey and it’ll look the same
