Im planning to do #31213, and this is my first alphaDo u guys think 1ft + 10 cm is enough! Its a bookmark, so i wont make ties, ill just make a few knots to secure the ends, kind of like what masha did with her valentines day knot with me bracelet |

Also is it possible to add more base string if it runs out?

I have never had to add more base string to an alpha but I think for that pattern approx 40cm should be fine. There is also quite a lot of rows either side of the actual design so it depends if you are going to do all of those

i always make mine extra long just in case. it there is a tutorial on how to add string from mash knots you can check that out it’s better to have long string than short
