Well hello! I have a quick question. Are you able to make your own patterns in the mobile app or only on the computer?

You can only make patterns on the site, not with the app. But you can access the site with your phone and make patterns that way too

You can only make patterns and variations on the website, not the app. You can only view the patterns/variations you are working on the site as well.

How do you create normal patterns for alphas it says draw alpha and you press it and then you can create a alpha but I don’t know how to create normal patterns.

@FunKnotz you pick your colours, then you pick the order of the strings you want to begin your pattern with and then you write the knots for the pattern row by row. There are four different types of knots f, b, fb and bf and you can also leave knots out (0). All knots have to be divided by commas and depending on the amount of strings in your pattern you need a certain amount of knots in each row. For a pattern with an even amount of strings in the uneven rows you need half that amount of strings and in the even ones half minus one. If the amount of strings is uneven you need the amount of strings minus one divided by two knots in each row. The overall amount of rows has to be even. Regularly press save to check out how your pattern is looking.I recommend sketching the pattern on graph paper first before writing it into the generator so you can imagine it better. In the tutorial section there's a tutorial on how to design normal patterns that explains that. |

@FunKnotz I think the normal pattern generator is supposed to change soon so idk how much worth it would be to put lots of effort into it but I could definitely write a short tutorial.
