Ok, I know where you can buy small skeins of thread and such, but it seems the stuff I get is either few colors with a couple of each or many different colors but only one of each, I would like the buy large amounts the thread of more colors. Ive seen people have these really large spools of it, but I have no idea where you can buy anything like it, does anyone know where you can possibly find them, internet or store?

I think that there might be some on Amazon, but I'm not sure... Have you tried googling it?

Ive tried both but most of the spools are for machines and most machine threads are thinner

I get mine from Walmart and some craft stores. I usually find a big pack that doesn't cost that much.

Walmart, micheals, jo Ann's, amazon, eBay, almost any kind of craft store. Then I usually buy a few loose skeins of dmc of the colors I use more often

Any craft store or sewing/fabric store will carry large spools of crochet thread. DMC makes big spools of it. They usually run about $5.99 per spool. I know it's call thread, but it's about as thick as embroidery floss. It also comes in different thicknesses. I haven't used crochet thread for bracelets, so I can't really say if it makes a difference in your final product. I have heard that it breaks easier than embroidery floss. And when I worked at Michaels, we only stocked about 10 colors of it. By comparison, DMC floss comes in over 400 colors. If there's a Michaels near you, ask them about their Buy in Bulk program. That might be a good way to stock up on string.

Jo-ann's has 150 packs of string for about $16.99 and if you get a coupon for %50 off, it's even better! They work great too! Almost the same as DMC floss, only they don't FEEL as slippery!

I would say Micheals because for one thing you can buy one pack of about 30 bundles for $3-$4... You can also buy 1 bundle for $.30 =]

Amazon has a package of 150 embroidery floss for 13 bucks. Pretty cheap, nice quality and lots of different colors.

Also make sure not to just go with the cheap stuff! They can break really easy and make it difficult and annoying! Just a tip. 🙂

Yard sales are great for finding a lot of thread cheap.. I got what would have been like $70 of embroidery floss for $3 at a yard sale.
