Sometimes I substitute thin (weight #2) cotton yarn for thread. I use lion brand bonbons, but I only do this on really thin normals. Does anyone else use a substitute?

I've used yarn before and I had a friend that used to use rexlace every now and then but I didn't much care for the look of that.
