I’m following the masha knots tutorial, but if, for example, the yellow string is on the left but I need it to come out on the right, I can’t use it, right?😬

yeah! just draw in a ^ shaped triangle in the pattern, divide your string as the pattern suggests and do the triangle end normally. 🙂 is there a specific pattern you’re making? i can help you more if i know what pattern you’re making

I've written a tutorial on triangle ends. You can find it in the tutorial section.

@arf820 I’m making pattern 30651, and I already made the knotted loop so I can’t divide the strings as it says I should😟 Is there another way to do the loop so I can still divide the strings as I want?

ahhh i see what you mean. yes there is but it is a difficult process. i would suggest you go on youtube and search up masha knots’s video on making loops with an uneven amount of strings. even though there is an even amount of strings, like you said, it is asymmetrical and if you divide the pattern in half, you’ll notice that two of the same color are on one side and not the other. but since you have already done a loop, if you are planning to do a triangle start just do a bf or fb knot with one of the strings over the whole bundle. that brings all the strings together so then you can divide them into two in order to make your triangle end. i hope that helps🙁

You fold two strings to be the four strings for the left. You pull the other two strings for the right through where you folded the first two strings. That way both sides connect.
