I’ve made several alpha keychains and they turned out just fine, but whenever I make an alpha bracelet, it turns out all lumpy and won’t lay flat. I’ve tried the flat alpha technique but they’re still bumpy. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Make sure you use the same brand of string and your knots have the same amount of tension. The flat alpha technique might work a bit better if you have the same amount of tension

i used to have this same problem and could never figure out why! but i finally read something and i fixed it! what you need to do is make sure that you do not make the excess leading strings too tight in the back... for example, if you use one color at the left side, and then at the right side (like a background color) if you pull the string in the back of the alpha really tight it will bunch up all of the knots in the middle. to fix previous bracelets like this, try cutting the excess string in the back and it usually makes them lie flat again!
