Do you need more string for thicker bracelets? Just finished a really wide one that I used about a wingspan-and-a-quarter length strings on and I had a lot left over, so I realize my original judgement may have been off. Was this just a weird anomaly because of the pattern or does bracelet width not affect how long your strings should be?

@dreamweavr The length of your string is determined by how many knots you make with it

so wouldn't you make more knots on a wider bracelet?I'm just wondering why I had so much left over |

if some strings ended up longer than others, that means that those strings were used less in the pattern. also for me, it doesn’t really change much how long i make my strings for smaller versus wider bracelets. so i just cut the same amount of string no matter if i’m doing a wide bracelet or a small bracelet, though of course if i’m doing a loop i cut around double the length as i would without. to answer your question, i don’t think you need more string for wider bracelets especially according to your experience. just keep in mind that cutting more string is better so you don’t have to keep replacing your strings. and cut any strings are being used more than others longer so you don’t have to keep replacing them. hope that helps!
