i don’t have an exact number, but i think you should cut about half of your wingspan, so a bit more than your arms length

you can still do triangle ends with an uneven amount of strings. for this i would recommend drawing in a ^ shape in your pattern as a visual. just divide your strings by 6 and 5 and do your triangle ends as normal. it will look a little lopsided because one triangle has one more knot than the other. another option is you can just tape your strings down and start knotting without the triangle ends if you aren’t comfortable doing triangle ends with an uneven amount of string. hope that helps!

@arf820 can you explain how to start the triangle end though because I've never started a normal bracelet with a triangle end, and in Masha knots' tutorial, she has the same colors on both sides, but for this pattern you don't.

i try to explain it the best i can. first draw an upside down v going from the middle of line 1 to the ends of both sides of the pattern. that is your triangle. divide your strings into 5 blues on the left side and 1 blue and 5 yellows on the right side. starting on the left, make a bf knot over the entire bundle with your first blue string. do the same with your second but leave out the first blue string. keep doing that until you reach the last string. then you do it similarly on the right side except you do fb knots. you start with the one blue string and then you do the yellows. then connect the middle two blue strings together with any knot and then you can start knotting the actual pattern itself. feel free to ask me anymore questions if you’re still confused! 🙂

Just seperate your strings according to the sticky out bits! Then bring the strings you need, again represented by the sticky out bits, then do the knots to bring them to the center. Then make the knot between them. Go down to the next row of the triangle, bring the strings in, then do the knots. Go to third row, knot your strings into the center, then do the needed knots. Just keep doing it until the triangle is completed!

@wavypeach thats how you do the traingle end tho, if you will do the triangle start, you have to do a regular triangle, not an upside down one
