Well the edges are poking out in different places and they are like spiraling around the base string. it does not look right.

Did you do the fb and bf knots on the edges? Make sure your knots are also evenly tight

But don’t tie them too tight bc then they will spiral

I did use fb and bf knots and I did not tie them that tight. IDK

I’m night completely sure what your problem is but here are some troubleshooting points:You might not be tightening them all the same. Or sometimes when you do the bf and fb knot you have to do the next knot so it stays straight

some areas might look a little wonky due to color changes on the edges (which you can’t really do anything about) i
don’t know how else to help but that was just a little extra info. 😊

tbh the flat alpha technique is just to make ur alphas flatter so the colors don't pop out, u have to kinda shape the edges with ur hand to make it straight 🙂

Also make sure when doing the straight edges technique to do two bf knots on the left (because you replace one b and one f knot) and two fb knots on the right (because you replace one f and one b knot). I have the feeling sometimes people forget the second half of the knot.

@xojenz the straight edges technique for alphas is explained in the same video as the flat alpha technique so I think that might be why people mix them up. The straight edges technique doesn't make your overall bracelet straighter (I agree with that) but it changes the appearance of the edges to be more smooth which some people prefer.
