how long should my base strings be?

so I am doing an alpha pattern for the second time and I decided to go a little bit crazy so I generate a new pattern from a picture and requires 200 base strings and i don't know how long should i make my them. and I think it goes by 200 to 300 rows.

You should probably make them as long as you want the pattern to be and then some

Bad settings should be as long as you want the bracelet to be and enough for the ties and just a little extra just in case
