I normally but big bulk packs off amazon, I’ve bought about 3 in the past and they are normally around £10-20 for 100-400 depending on which pack u buy and personally I’ve had no problems expect a few strands fraying easily. Before I could read patterns I used to buy packs of thread from Tesco for £2.80 for ten and make vChinese staircases and chevrons and stuff but they weren’t very good and more expensive than bulk packs which in my opinion is better but DMC, anchor, and loops and threads are good brands (I haven’t tried them, this is based on other people’s opinions) and u can get them online aswell, i recently got DMC black and white thread and have no problems with it

Try caydo from amazon. Cheap for all the skeins. You can get 300 for 30$, but they have cheaper bundles too.

I usually get string from amazon, but make sure to read the reviews so you can find the best quality.

Amazon is a great option for buying bulk packs. I've heard Hobby Lobby has a lot too. I like buying a bulk pack from walmart or amazon and then going to Michaels and looking at their options. They have big rolls of color changing thread, along with normal, metalic, and sparkly DMC threads. In the DMC threads there, there is the normal thinner size, and the size 5, which is much like craft cord as it is wrapped around itself. I hope this helped!
