Can you mix, like say, dmc cotton pearl thread with their normal embroidery floss?

I do, but I know that you're not supposed to when doing alphas because even a small difference in thickness can make a big difference. I don't think it matters as much with normal bracelets.

@Shelly2121 if you have 2 different types of thread (one thicker and one thinner) you can do 2 strands per color for the thinner strand and 1 strand of color for the thicker thread. Ex: if a pattern requires 2 blues and 2 yellows and you want to use a blue from a thicker thread and a yellow from the thinner thread, instead of 2 yellows use 4 strands of yellow but split it so that each knot uses 2 strands instead of 1 like normal. Then use just 2 strands of the thicker blue thread for a total of 6 threads. But you can’t tell there’s 2 extra threads because they don’t do anything extra. I’m sorry if this is hard to understand.
