how do i make my alphas better and not bumpy? i watched the masha knots video and did the forward-backward and backward-forward knots on the edges and it didn’t help.

The straight edges technique won’t do anything for a bumpy alpha- just remove the edge ridges. You can try the flat alpha technique which she also has a video for which may help as it’s a colour changing technique but most likely it has to do with how tight you are pulling. Pulling too tight will cause knots of the same colour to raise up above the neighbouring knots. And of course it could just be that you need more practice!

Yeah currently mine are kinda bumpy but the more you do it will get flatter. You could try putting something heavy on it for a while to flatten it out. I did that and it worked

I used the fiat alpha technique masha knots does but I would practise doing alphas with 1/2 colours first and then more because the more you have the harder to kept flat
