so i'm trying to make a pattern and it says my top string colors don't match the bottom ones. what does that mean and how can I fix it

That means that the string order at the top of the pattern is different from the string order at the bottom of the pattern. To fix this, you may have to repeat the pattern a few times (this can be done by copy and pasting the knots) until the strings match.

Some patterns like the arrow head switch colour order every time and they have stopped accepting patterns like this as it’s confusing for some people but I would try repeating the patterns a few times
