How do you get your rank to go up

It says you can only rate patterns if you are a certain rank so how to you get your rank to go up

You rank up by being active. That includes being online but it's faster when you write in the chat or forum (don't spam) or post patterns, variations and pictures.

things that take more time/effort generally rank you up quicker. it took a very long time for me to change ranks until i started posting photos regularly and making my own patterns
