hi!! since i make a majority of my bracelets for friends and family, i prefer to make them adjustable so there’s no problems with them fitting themi generally just knot all my strings and do a twist at the beginning then start the bracelet however, with a lot of strings the knot can look messy is there a way to still use twisted ties but make them without knotting them in the beginning of the bracelets? i looked up a tutorial but it only shows how to end them thank you!’ |

you can try making a single fb knot with one string around all of the rest of them rather than one giant knot before you start

If your trying to make ties without knots leave some at the top of your bracelets leave some at the top, and start it after you leave some. Then when your finished, you can use the amount you left to make ties knots free except for the top obviously

@angeldior I agree with @angkridec. When you tape down your bracelet, tape down the strings Without a knot at the top and a lot of spare string and start knitting (carefully). Once you finish, go back to that spare string and make your ties.

What I do is tie a knot a few inches from the top of the string. Then I do triangle ends and start the bracelet. After I have a good portion done or I am finished with the bracelet, I undo the not only in the beginning and do twisted ties on both ends!

I undo the knot I made in the beginning too and then do the twisted ties

basically what i do instead of making a knot is use a very secure clipboard and tie no knot in the beginning, do a few rows, and then unclip my bracelet and do the ties. if you don’t have a clipboard, i suggest tying a very loose knot that you can easily take out later and complete the ties without a bulky knot. i hope this helps!!
