Write on a piece of paper before taking the photo. Or go in your photo app, continue as if you wished to edit the photo and the option to "add text" or "add markup" should be somewhere.

You can upload it to your computer then download gimp, it's an editor for free, and you can add text on that, it's basically like Photoshop
