Hey guys! I have a question. If my bracelet is not symmetrical on each side (there are odd numbers of string for each color) do I just split the strings in half and do my triangle ends on that?

Sorry, I don't get your question. Can you give me the pattern number?

If you are saying that there is an even amount of strings but not the same colors, just split the strings in two groups and don’t worry about the colors and do the triangle ends how you normally would. Hope that helps 😊.

If you are saying that there is a odd number of threads on each side, for example like 8 and 9 then sorry I do not know how to do that.

you can still do triangle ends with an uneven amount of strings. since this pattern you mentioned is an alpha, are you planning on knotting the triangle ends with your base strings or with your leading string? both ways are possible with an uneven amount of strings

I have written a tutorial on triangle ends. You can find it in the tutorial section. It's on triangle ends for normal patterns but you can use that technique for alphas too.

Are you sure the pattern number you said is actually the bracelet you were talking about in the beginning?

maybe with this one you can do half triangle ends? that way you don’t have to split it up into two sections. the reason why i say half triangle ends is because there is a clear diagonal, sort of candystripe line in the pattern starting from line seven with the dark blue. to do a half triangle ends, you basically do the same thing as normal triangle ends except you take the first string and knot a fb knot over the whole bundle. leaving that first string aside, you do another fb knot with your next string, excluding the first string and so on. so it forms a diagonal. hope that helps!

I agree with @arf820!
The pattern doesn't really have a natural triangle but it does have diagonals. You could also use the light orange diagonal
