So I'm working on a new pattern, it's #20538 and while the design looks okay, the edges are all wonky 😢. I wish I could add a picture but it's really bothering me! Any tips?

While there’s not a specific way to fix it, I find it really helpful to focus on making my knots equally tight. You don’t have to go fast, just slowly make your knots and make sure they all look the same! Another thing I do to make my normal bracelets look completely uniform is to make sure the knot I’m making lines up diagonally with the other knots in every direction!

You could also try to stretch the bracelet. Try pulling or stretching the made parts of the bracelet in opposite directions to straighten the edges out

Thanks for the fast responses! I did try to stretch out the bracelet and make my knots the same (which I honestly think is the problem) but if I don't make it tight at times there's holes! Does anyone else struggle with this?

Yeah and usually the holes mean your knot isn’t centered between the two strings it is made of. Basically, you should try to get the knots as close together as possible, because that shouldn’t affect the tightness of the actual knot

@TM007 Masha knots on YouTube has a video on a straight edge technique. I suggest maybe watching it and doing that. It helped my edges a lot

looking at the pattern itself, it is a 1212 pattern meaning that it is comprised of all bf and fb knots. keeping your knots consistent with these types of patterns is a pain because of the fact that there are no f or b knots. with bf and fb knots you have to be extra cognizant that you are tying your first knot really tight and close together and then you are tying your second knot tight enough the secure the first knot. this will help improve your edges as well as the design itself. the straight edges technique, as the person suggested before me, can help but it can only be really effective if your knots are consistent. hope that helps!
