hey! i know i ask a lot of questions lol
so i think i understand the straight edges technique; you just do a forward backward (vise versa for the other side) onto each row just to even out the edges? plz correct me if im wrong lol!!
if this is the case, what would you do for a row in which you have to leave out the two end strings? sorry if this is confusing!!

You are correct! For the rows where the edge strings are left out you don’t do the technique, it’s used on every other row. 😊

It’s also useful to know that if you are adding the technique to a preexsisting pattern, the fb and bf kntos go onto the rows that have less knots, which will add 2 knots to that row, making it become the row with more knots. Hope that makes sense! 😊

Masha knots has a tutorial which is what I used, she has one on normal patterns and then alphas

@stacey_135 so am i essentially just doing a forward backward and backward forward knots on each side of the bracelet on every row? wont that create an extra column?

@angeldior yes, to do it consistently you have to add an extra string to either side... but you can also just casually do it whenever there are knots with two strings of the same color if you want to and not add an extra string
