what brand do you use for white/black base strings for alphas that come in like a big roll, that's similar to the dmc one?

I use Craft Cord by Loops and Threads. you can get it from Micheals. It’s fibers are twisted just like DMC cotton pearl, but is a lot cheaper. I find this string to be a lot stronger than embroidery floss, it’s hard to fray, and it has never snapped on me. I would definitely recommend you check out this string. Hope this helps 🙂

I actually use the Lion Brand Yarn in the 24/7 cotton (available at Joanns) but then I split the strand in half. I prefer to use yarn because base strings use up so much of my floss and I don’t want to waste too much
