hi! i am starting my first alpha soon, and ive been practicing with threads. i have a question!so when you add another color to the bracelet, youre essentially adding a whole new string to the bracelet. when i change the leading string, do i knot on to that, or am i only knotting with base strings throughout the bracelet? thank you! |

You only knot onto the base strings. The leading strings is the string you make the knots with and that's the one you need to switch to get a different colour.

Only knot onto base strings if you knot on your main string it adds another knot Example : you have 18 base strings if you knot on the main string you will have 19 knots instead of 18 hope this helps🙂😀👍🏼

Great question! Make sure to only knot in base strings, and to never use base strings as leading strings. When you add in a new color your just adding in a new leading string, so when you switch leading strings make sure your new one goes under any base strings and over all leading string that this new string passes by as your weaving it’s way to the spot it needs to be. If you watch Kinsey B’s video on alphas it might help you better understand this too! https://youtu.be/ksuB0I3nLTU Hope this helps 🙂
