Have you ever made a Alpha bracelet before? I don't want to be rude it's just after you first few it's pretty easy to guess how long you need your main string or your base string, yeah but he / she is right what's the pattern and is it th e base string or the main string?

For the base strings cut then however long you want the bracelet or keychain to be if bracelet add extra for ties for leading string I cut them a bit over a meter because having the bobbin bothers me and adding more in dosent bother me you can cut it longer and wind it on your fingers and keep it had a little ball or keep it on the bobbin hope that helps feel free to message me if you have any other questions

you can actually make your base string one of the colors of the pattern. this only works for 2 colored alphas. basically, your background color, will remain but the color that you use in the pattern that actually makes the letters or design, you will make your background strings. basically, when you are making the bracelet, if the row is going all forward knots, use your background string when it comes time to include that color, and do a backward knot, if the background strings are going backward on the strings, use the background strings to make forward knots. if that makes sense.
