Probably anyone could answer this question! I'm doing pattern #8873 and I incorporated the straight edges technique and triangle ends. Right now I'm on row 7 and when I start using the straight edges technique, there's an extra knot. Please help me, I've been trying to figure this out myself, but it's had me stumped for a week now 😂

Yes there should be extra knots if you add a string on either side of the pattern for the straight edges technique. Where the strings kind of stick out and aren’t used on the side of the pattern in the even rows, you will use those strings to make forward-backward and backward-forward knots on the edge strings and the edge strings won’t be used in the even rows. Hope this helps! I would recommend Masha Knots’ video on the straight edges technique for further clarification 🙂
