How do I add a multicolor knot to a pattern?

do you mean adding a multicolor knot when generating a pattern? or when knotting a pattern? when generating a pattern you can only do single colored knots, there isn’t a way to include a color that is variegated/multicolored. when knotting a pattern you can buy multicolored string and add use it. hope that helps!

@arf820 No like i'm seeing patterns on the pattern pages with a single knot with tan and white stripes in it. I assumed those are multicolored, like you would use multicolored thread for that knot.

@SavannaL those patterns are for shapes bracelets which means that the laces that look like multicolour are areas where you don’t knot. Hope this makes sense

ohhhhh i know what you are talking about now. those aren’t multicolored knots—they are called drop strings. in #37570 you don’t make any strings over the strings that don’t not have knots over it. so there would literally be loose string disconnected from the rest of the bracelet. in #37722 there are knots over the drop string but they aren’t connected with the rest of the bracelet. so it will end up with a line of knots disconnected from the bracelet. when generating a pattern like those two patterns you put in 0 to indicate a drop string, instead of f, b, fb, or bf. there is no way to generate multicolored knots into a pattern. kinda wish there was now that you’ve brought it up😂could be cool to see beforehand what a pattern would look like with multicolored string

Ohhhhh my gosh. Now I see what those are. I've seen bracelets like that. I should ask @Admin to make multicolor knots for patterns. It'd be cool! Thank you for clearing all this stuff up. 👍 😊

Thank you @SavannaL for the suggestion, it's already been asked a few times, and it's in our todo list. But we now have a lot of tasks with a higher priority, so I'm not completely sure when I can get to that 🙁.
