Why can't I add friends as a beginner?

I think it's just a feature. When you move up to advanced then you should be able to add friends

To level up you just have to be active for example by writing in the forum and the chat and posting pictures, patterns and variations. Just being online also helps you to rank up.

you can accept other users’ friend requests though but you have to be a higher rank to send friend requests
