hello all! im fairly new to bracelets - at least ones other than basic chevron and candy stripe. i have been trying to attempt the greek wave pattern (tutorial by kinsey b) several times now and im having difficulty. if anyone has an suggestions i would really appreciate it. when i start the bracelet i start with the basic loop. the next step is to seperate the colors, wave color on the right and backround color on the right (or vise versa i forget). how do you get the colors on opposite sides without it looking wonky? ive also been struggling to keep my strings in the correct order. i always get the strings all confused and it looks nothing like what its suppose to. and if anyone has any tips for beginning alphas please comment.

you should follow masha knots on youtube if you already don’t!

One thing you can do is lay the strings out on a table and tape them down so they are in the correct starting order.

i would recommend learning to read normal patterns if you have not already because that is a useful skill that helps you understand where the strings go! (also just an fyi i believe the pattern you are describing is not an alpha, but u might be wrong)

You could also get a piece of cardboard and cut a slit for each string, then you could move them from slot to slot with the movement of the strings

you can also try triangle starts or teardrop loops! they help to get your strings in the right place because you are knotting the strings into their correct positions before you start knotting the actual pattern
