I use the flat alpha (Marsha knots video) and strait edges technique to make my alphas. I have trouble when there is a color change either before the last knot in the row or a color change on the last knot of the row. What happens is the previous leading string that goes in between the new leading string and the background string poke out in the bracelet. Does anyone have any advice?

You just put it under the bracelet without putting it in the new colour, that way it won’t come out on the side of your bracelet. I hope it helps you. 😊

I think you're not supposed to use the flat alpha technique right at the edge for that very reason. Use the normal alpha colour switching technique instead. It's mentioned in the flat alpha video

In her first alpha video MashaKnots also explains how to switch colours normally

All you have to do for a color switch on the edge is tuck the previous leading string under your bracelet, then bring out the new leading string that you need. You don't have to do the flat technique. 🙂
