Hi everyone. I’ll try to explain this as best as i can. i do not understand how to make my edges straight on normal and alpha bracelets. 1. How would fb and bf knots on the edge strings work if the two strings were different colors? 2. do i add another string on each side or use the ones that are already there? 3. do i just ignore whatever the pattern says on the far left and right hand side? PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME THAT MASHA KNOTS HAS A VIDEO ON IT... THATS THE REASON I GOT CONFUSED IN THE FIRST PLACE. Please help. Thanks x |

1. If at any point in the pattern the edge knots are not 2 of the same color strings or if they aren’t the same color but in the pattern it is a fb on the right or a bf on the left you will need to add an extra string to each side. If everything matches or is already a bf knot on the left and fb on the right, you just have to change the knots to fb and bf and you don’t have to add extra strings.

3 no because say you added the extra strings and there is a fb knot on the right side of the patterns edge, you would do that knot and then with the string you knotted Over you will make another fb knot onto the straight edge string. You don’t make any knots with it. For alphas you don’t have to add extra strings. Instead of doing a forward knot at the end of the row and a backward knot at the beginning of the next row you will do a fb knot at the end and then a bf knot at the beginning. For color changes on the edge it’s the same thing.
