knots keep popping?

my problem is sometimes when i’m making bracelets, when i pull on the first half of the knot, it kind of pops? i’m not sure how to explain it, but it kind of messes up the knot beside it a bit, and is very noticeable on the back. i’m not pulling very hard, and it happens in certain areas. i try and not pull as tight, but it ends up leaving holes in my bracelet. someone who knows what going on please help!! thank you!

When making a knot it can help to hold the base string of the previous knot tight so the previous knot doesn't pop. Pull the base string of the previous knot straight down so the leading string on it doesn't have much space to pull it to the side.Make sure you make your knots tight so they don't pop when making the next knot. You can make your knots tight by making sure that you pull the first half tight before making the second half. In general especially when making bf and fb knots make sure you hold the string you're knotting on tight/pull it straight down. This way the knot won't pop. |
