Hi!I’m looking for new ways of securing my bracelets while making them! I currently use a clipboard and a paper clip but I want to see what other people use! |

I’m new to bracelets so I just tape my bracelet on to my table. I’ve seen others use a safety pin to secure the bracelets to their pants though.

Hi here are some different ways:- clip board - taping it down - pinning it onto your pants or a pillow - tying it around something (hydro flask or a drink bottle) - putting something extremely heavy on the top of it so it won't move (this isn't the best way though) I'm sorry if this didn't help but I hope it gave you some ideas |

I totally agree with putting something heavy on top of it! When I was starting out I used a flower pot and it was horrible the pot would move and my bracelets looked horrible

When I started doing bracelets I folded the string in half, made a knot and put that loop around one of my toes 😂

I start my bracelet with a braid then tie that though the padlock hole thing on my craft box, which I keep my threads in. I can then prop my phone up on the handle of the box so I can see the pattern. Probably doesn't make sense and I'm probably the only one that does it😂. For alpha keyrings I thread tape through the keyring loop then secure to my laptop so I can watch TV at the same time 😂

I LOVE my Friendship Bracelet Maker and use it whenever I make bracelets. it says, www.myfbm.com It separates my strings and holds them in place at the top. And stores my supplies. I taped a clear plastic ruler onto it so I can measure the length of the current bracelet in progress.

I only use a clipboard or tape it down to a surface because it holds and won’t start twisting as the bracelet gets longer. I used to use a safety pin on my pillow and pants.. but as the bracelet gets longer it twists and gets harder to work with, and you can’t pin the bracelet in the middle because it can leave a gap.

I use scrap thread to make a loop that I can put over my foot, leg, water bottle, whatever. I like it because it’s super easy to transport, I can do it anywhere, and I can keep multiple bracelets on one loop (I get bored doing one bracelet). The strings do tend to get a bit tangled though... When I’m done with the bracelet I cut the scrap thread loop, take the bracelet off, and re tie the loop so I can reuse it.

I use a safety pin and pin it to my trousers (yes I’m British and I say trousers) or whatever is available.

If you guys use a clipboard, get a piece of cardboard that is slightly bigger than the clipboard. Then cut slits so that it can be like a macrame board. Try passing string through a few times so that the slits are easier to use.
