well you follow the pattern like the arrow that lookes like this \

oops the arrow that lookes like this \ is a forward knot and the one that lookes like this / is a backward knot and the ones that are kinda folded well you do one forward/backward knot and then you do a knot but insted of going over top you go underneath and pull it tight. hope this helpes! 🙂
