I’m trying to make my first alpha but I have no clue how long to make my base strings. Does anyone have a tips on that?

i usually make them about two feet if i’m making a loop

@aves_knots So if you are doing ties add the amount you need for that. Double it. Then add more string for the length of the the blanket. So for example I’m doing ties so 4*2=8 and my bracelet wouldn’t be longer than 10 inches. So 8 + 10 is 18. So I cut my base strings 18 inches. I hope this makes sense
