Diamond patterns?

Hi! So I’ve been making a lot of bracelets recently and I’ve gotten into Aztec patterns which have a lot of diamond shapes in them. I’ve noticed that they don’t look very even, they always pull either to the side or downwards, I’m not sure if it’s something to do with how tight I’m making the knots. Any tips would be really helpful!

I had this problem I found that pulling a bit less tight on the string I’m making a knot on and tying your knots the same tightness has much has possible hope this helps feel free to message me if you have any other questions

You can try the straight edges technique it might even it out. Masha knots has a video on YouTube about it.

it could be the tension and the knots variation. some can be looser or some can be tighter which will make the knots uneven. if you want some practice i would suggest just doing some rows of a base color (for an alpha) and you can get used to using the same knots each time. the more you repeat the more even they will get. hope this makes sense!! message me if you have any questions!!
