I was making pattern #2763 and I kept running out of some of the colors so I added more string using the same method you would use to make flat alphas. now i have a bunch of tails on the back of my bracelet can I just cut those off or do I have to tie them together and then cut it off?

i honestly just cut them off since the knots don’t get untied. you’ll still have little bits of string sticking out the back but it doesn’t bother me that much

If you are still unsure if they will come undone or not you could put glue or clear nail polish on them to make sure they stay. This isn't the most comfortable way to do it if you are planning on wearing it though.

I just cut them they have never come undone I don’t put nail polish because it’s creates a hard shell that be rough and sharp hope that helps feel free to message me if you have any other questions

i cut them off the knots shouldn’t come undone and it won’t hurt the bracelet it will only make the back look a little different than the happy side (like an alpha) i wouldn’t suggest nail polish bc it can harden and not feel so good on the skin. but i do have super sensitive skin so if you don’t mind light scratches nail polish wouldn’t hurt

@nicolle_o I use manicure scissors (the really tiny ones) to cut off strings that stick out the back of my bracelets. It allows me to get really close to the bracelet so that any threads still sticking out are hard to see. Hope that helps!

What I do it cut them off and then use clear nail polish or clear glue to matte the remaining string down!
