I do not understand how to put the strings in order for a shaped start in a pattern. Any suggestions?

I've written a tutorial on triangle ends. You can find it in the tutorial section.

Basically what you need to do is find a triangle in your pattern. You can print the pattern out or take a screenshot of it. You can draw around the edge of the triangle. The order you need to put your strings in is the order in which the strings in the pattern cross the drawn in edge of the triangle.

If the pattern is too short you can take a screenshot of the pattern and put two pictures beneath each other to make the pattern longer.

You can make your triangle ends anywhere in a pattern. There doesn't need to be an actual triangle. But if there's a triangle it often looks better to do the triangle end there.
