Hello! I have used the normal DMC Metallic thread and it works pretty good, it just hurts my hands. Does anyone know if the Etoile Metallic Thread from DMC works just as good? It’s half metallic and half embroidery floss.

It should work exactly the same! The only difference is that there’s a thread of glittery string in it🙂 if the thread is hurting your hands you may be gripping or knotting to tightly!

what i’ve done before as well is separate out one strand of the DMC metallic thread and pair it with a strand of normal embroidery floss. it gives a similar effect to the Etoile thread and is much easier to knot with than a whole piece of the metallic 😂
