help changing colors with alphas

hi. i’m making my first alpha with pattern #35539. i’m doing 3 colors for the letters instead of 7. i’m switching colors and i’m struggling to keep the switching neat. is this a problem that just takes practice to fix or is it something that has to do with the knots themselves?

I had that problem too when I first started out with alphas. It just takes practice to get used to switching back and forth between colors. Once you do a lot of alphas it should start to feel a bit more natural. There are also some videos on youtube with alpha tips that you could look at if you wanted to. Hope this all makes sense! 🙂
