I use an unpicker that came with a thread box I got once. It’s sharp enough to get between the knots but also blunt enough to that it doesn’t snap the thread.

I use a safety pin and it has never ripped the string apart. Maybe you are not being gentle enough with the string?

I use my fingers 'cause they're pretty small.

I usually use a push pin with the tip broken off so it isn't too sharp, but it still gets the job done 👍 🙂

I use a compass (the thing to used to draw perfect circles) because you can grip it properly and it’s not too sharp

You can use a tooth pick, but don't pull it out too hard. Just pull it out a tiny bit and pull the rest out with your nail towards the unfinished part of the bracelet. Hope this helps, I'm probably late tho D:
