hello, i've seen some people do alphas with no background, for example on pattern #35456 someone posted a pattern except it was just groot not the background, does anyone know where i can learn how to do that 🙂

I sent you a link. Basically you just don't make any knots for the background and you clue all the basestrings that stick out to the back in the end.
